Meet the Team

Optometrist / Owner

As a local Claremont High School graduate, Dr. Jennifer Kim was born and raised in the Los Angeles area. She graduated Claremont High School class of 2003 and went on to attend UCLA for her Bachelor of Science, majoring in Neuroscience. Dr. Kim continued on to obtain her Doctor of Optometry degree from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry.

It has been her dream to build a practice of her own, providing the highest level of eye care to her local community.

When out of the office, Dr. Kim enjoys playing tennis with her husband and two kids, reading novels, and walking her English Bulldog Winston.

Scott

Operations Manager/ Licensed Optician

Scott is an Optician, both certified by the American Board of Opticianry, and licensed by the California State Board of Optometry as a Registered Spectacle Lens Dispenser. He graduated with honors from Chaffey College with an associate's degree in Psychology, and a second associate's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Scott is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa academic honors society. Presently, he is pursuing his bachelor's degree at CSUSB, and plans to pursue his graduate degree in psychology.

Scott is also a dog dad to two rescue babies (Peter and Ben), he's obsessed with fragrances and has a collection of over 200 bottles of colognes and perfumes, he is a member of the ASPCA and donates to his local animal shelter, loves strategy games, and is an Ace rated trainer in Pokemon Go.

Liezl

Certified Optician

Liezl is a certified Optician and licensed by the California State Board of Optometry. She finished schooling for Opticianry at Cal State University, Fullerton in 2022. In her free time, she enjoys creative hobbies such as sewing, Fashion Design, and Interior Design. Liezl enjoys spending her weekends with her husband, 2 kids, and their dog Jack.

Melissa

Certified Optician

Melissa is a certified Optician and licensed by the State of California Board of Optometry as a Registered Spectacle Lens Dispenser. She graduated from the University of California San Diego with a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Biology. After a few years of soul searching, Melissa switched gears from pursuing pre-med to a career in optics instead. She is currently in the process of applying for optometry school!

In her free time, Melissa enjoys baking, cycling, rock climbing, and spending time with her family, friends and pups Wes and Otis.
